St. George’s, the capital of Grenada, is a picturesque harbor town nestled within the rim of an extinct volcano. Its horseshoe-shaped Carenage, lined with pastel-colored colonial buildings, offers a postcard-perfect introduction to the island.

Carriacou is the largest of Grenada’s sister islands and part of the Grenadines, lying north of mainland Grenada between the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. The island has a relatively dry climate and a landscape of low hills, rocky headlands, coral reefs, beaches, and small valleys used for farming. Hillsborough is the main settlement, while Windward, L’Esterre, and Tyrell Bay are among the island’s other communities.

Grand Anse Beach is a long crescent of pale sand on the southwestern coast of Grenada, overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The beach stretches for roughly three kilometres and is backed by hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, shops, and residential areas, while much of the shoreline remains open for public use. Its sheltered position creates generally calm, clear water that is suitable for swimming and other water activities.
